According to Indian tradition, the chakras are seven different energy centers that are located along our spine, which have a great influence on our daily life through our mood and behavior.
Each of our chakras is linked to specific emotions and actions, which is why it has a different influence on our emotions and actions. Next, we tell you where each of them is located and what is their relationship with our feelings.
The seven chakras.
1. The root chakra.
This first energy center is identified with the red color and is located in the perineum area and strongly influences our natural impulses and desires. It is related to our capacity for creation, reproduction and the instincts that attract us erotically towards others.
2. The Swadisthana chakra.
Also known as “sweetness”, this is identified with the color orange and is located three fingers below the navel. In it live our fears and vulnerabilities, but also the vital force that allows us to leave them behind.
3. The solar plexus chakra.
This energy center is symbolized by the color yellow and is located just above our navel. In this place lives the charism, self-confidence and spontaneity, therefore, it is key to our relationships with others.
4. The heart chakra.
This is the energetic center that influences love and relationships, is identified with the green color and is located right in the heart. In addition, it has the ability to close when it is vulnerable or when it needs to receive love.
5. The throat chakra.
It is identified with the turquoise blue color and, as its name indicates, it is located in our throat. It exerts a great influence on our communication skills, artistic expression and communication with others.
6. The third eye chakra.
It is located above our nose and identifies with the indigo blue color. It is related to our intuition and when it is activated, we are able to use both sides of our brain at the same time, exploiting our creativity and our analytical capacity at the same time.
7. The crown chakra.
This energy center is located at the top of the head and is symbolized by the color white or dark purple. It represents free thought, deep questioning and spirituality.
When we are relaxed, the energy flows freely through our seven chakras and we can feel in harmony with our life. However, times of stress or distress can cause them to become blocked.
